Monday 31st May 2010...
I will be opening the 3rd Stage (Pepsi Max Stage) at Download Festival, Donnington Park on Sunday 13th June playing from 11am. It'll be a fairly short set so be there early!
I'm in 'Total Guitar' mag again this month as featured artist in full Rotosound Guitar Strings advert...check it out!
New tour dates coming in with Blues/Soul singer Dani Wilde. We'll be on tour in the UK in September, in Germany from 21st to 30th October and then on bigger UK tour in February next year.

Wednesday 24th February 2010...
On thursday 18th February myself and my band travelled to Bristol to play at the final of 'Total Guitar' magazines search for the next "big thing" on the guitar scene. I was one of three finalists in this almost 2 year long competition and I was announced the winner by TG Editor and current Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Gus G. I am absolutely thrilled about this. I will be featured in theend of March edition of Total Guiitar mag and I will be profiled in the end of April edition. As part of the competition I will also be playing at Download Festival in June alongside such arists as Rage Against The Machine, AC-DC and Aerosmith. I am the only unsigned blues roots artist to ever play at this predominantly Rock/Metal festival. I would like to thank everyone again who voted for me in the intial stages of this competition last year...very much appreciated!
Monday 8th February 2010...
I'll be in the studio with 'Ruf Records' artist Dani Wilde for the first two weeks in March recording her highly anticipated 2nd album with legendary UK blues producer Mike Vernon (Eric Clapton, Peter Green, Fleetwood Mac, Buddy Guy, John Mayall). I'll be contributing to around 6 of the 12 songs. Other guitar players who will possibly be appearing on the record inlude Snowy White and Peter Green!
I have just been announced as the sole support act for Richie Kotzen at the 02 Academy, Islington, London (formerly the Carling Academy) on Thursday 17th June. Not only do I get to share a stage with one of my favourite musicians of all time but I get to play at one of london's top music venues to possibly 800 people! Monday 27th July 2009...
I just got back from amazing weekend playing guitar for Dani Wilde at the Maryport Blues Festival in Cumbria. We played to 2000 people, just before blues legend John Mayall and The Blues Band (featuring BBC radio 2 presenter Paul Jones). Both John Mayall and Paul Jones were lovely guys and were very complementary on our set. A few songs from our performance will be broadcast on the Paul Jones Blues Show on BBC Radio 2 on monday 31st August during a two hour Maryport Blues Festival special.

Again its been a while since i've had a chance to bring everyone up to date with things. I've been very fortunate in getting involved with some cool prjects here and there, the biggest being the above...jamming with guitar legend Jeff Beck!
My Germany tour with Dani Wilde and the band was amazing and full of drama. Dani wrote a tour diary which she posted on her myspace. We have a tour of Switzerland in October and are back to tour Germany again in late November through early December. My youtube videos have been getting continous views (now over 60,000) and have helped my profile enormously. I will be going back to Jan Cyrka's London Studio to record some more guitar craziness for his bluesjamtracks website: http://www.bluesjamtracks.com/vip.php
I have also been busy demoing for my endorsers Rotosound and recently played at the London International Music Show with Guthrie Govan again. It is always a pleasure to play with Guthrie as he is simply one of the very best guitarists on the planet. I was also privilaged enough to do a gig in Bristol supporting him. I had my band with me but he was just playing to backing tracks as his drummer (the incredible Pete Riley) has been very ill. Towards the end of the set he invited me and my bandto come up and just have a good old jam with him. We played a 10 minute rendition of 'Cream's' Crossroads to a packed venue and it was awesome fun!

-Live CD on the way! Recorded at The Hamsters gig on 4th July this live album is sounding cool, featuring a whole bunch of songs not present on the studio album (which was released on the very same night!). It should be ready for release within a few months....so watch this space!

-THE ALBUM IS FINALLY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-At last our first, self-titled album is finished and it sounds AWESOME!!! With a total of 12 tracks and a whopping 53 minutes of "red-hot blues-rock," the album also features a handful of brand new songs that we have never even played live before and we will hopefully have a few advanced copies available at 'The Ship' gig in Bedford this Sunday afternoon. We plan to officially launch the album on Friday 4th July at our gig at Bedford Esquires supporting THE HAMSTERS! Be sure to grab yourselves a copy as soon as possible!!!

-The latest news on the album is that it is currently being mastered by a freind and tutor at the Brighton Institute of Modern Music called Martin (but known to everyone as Ace), he is a guitarist himself, having formed and played in 90's act Skunk Anansie, so the record should be very guitar prominent which is what we like ;-) We hope to use our gig on Friday 4th July at Esquires in Bedford supprting THE HAMSTERS as our album launch night so be sure to come down as its going to be an amazing night....and grab yourselves a copy of our self titled debut album!
29th March 2008...
- The Ben Poole Band's first full album is finally under construction! Recorded completely live, except for vocals and a few guitar solos, all the drum parts, bass parts and most of the guitar parts have been finished leaving just a few lead guitar lines and vocal lines left to finish before the mixing and mastering can take place. The album should contain between 10 and 13 tracks and the band hope to have it completely finished by the start of June so watch this space!
